HeartCast: Heart Rate Monitor for Apple Watch
HeartCast is a heart rate monitoring app for Apple Watch that allows you to seamlessly transmit your heart rate to Bluetooth Low Energy compatible devices. With the ability to integrate with popular fitness equipment like the Peloton Bike and Tread, HeartCast offers a convenient solution for those looking to replace their existing heart rate monitoring equipment with their beloved Apple Watch.
Monitor your Heart Rate Zones easily from either your Apple Watch or iPhone. This customizable feature can be toggled on or off according to your preferences.
HeartCast harnesses the power of Bluetooth and utilizes open standards to establish direct communication with your fitness equipment. Rest assured that with HeartCast, your heart rate data remains securely within your devices and is never shared externally.

About Your Privacy:
- HeartCast exclusively monitors and broadcasts your heart rate over Bluetooth to compatible fitness equipment nearby
- No other personal information is collected or monitored
- HeartCast does not access or write to your Apple Health data in any way, other than automatically saving some basic metrics during workouts
- No heart rate data is saved, stored, or transmitted to external services
- HeartCast utilizes Google Analytics and Google Crashlytics for the sole purpose of improving features and resolving critical issues
- HeartCast is an independent app and is not affiliated with Peloton or any other fitness equipment provider
Instructions:
- Open the HeartCast app on your Apple Watch and iPhone
- Sync your heart rate between the two devices
- On your Apple Watch, press the Start button to begin a workout, which will activate Bluetooth and initiate the broadcasting of your heart rate to nearby devices
- Enjoy a comfortable workout without the need for uncomfortable chest straps
Requirements:
- An Apple Watch and iPhone (not compatible with iPad)
- Access to Apple Health to read heart rate data
- Bluetooth capabilities to transmit heart rate to fitness equipment

- Peloton Bike, Tread, and iPad App
- TacX Smart Trainer Software for MacOS and iPad
- TrainerRoad (as reported by TrainerRoad users)
- Wahoo Fitness iPad App (not compatible with Wahoo Bike Computers)
